(Darkstar, The Master Builder, John Stewart) humanoid male, belongs to DC Comics (characters list) Originally a 2nd backup to take Hal Jordan's shifts when required. He eventually became Earth's Green Lantern permanently. John Stewart has been accused of many things, including rebellious attitude, theft, lack of imagination (important for using a power ring), murder, dereliction of duty, and even gaining a position in Justice League based on affirmative action rather than merit. Early on he made many mistakes and failed often, including letting an entire inhabited plant be destroyed. He's been used or duped into fighting for the wrong side on multiple occasions. He even shot a suspect, which is forbidden for a Green Lantern. But he's always taken responsibility for his mistakes has earned the respect of the other superheroes.
