I still don't agree with this tag's existence - Card-based ... same as cards. less disagreeable, though. Role-play - Rogue-like Edutainment - Serious Sport - Winter sports ... only very few actual game types are listed, most are real games or sports. Non-specific - Sandbox # GENRES # Fantasy - High fantasy ... think of Tolkien, the most common fantasy type - Low fantasy - Dark fantasy ... loose definition. - Contemporary fantasy Sci-Fi - Steampunk - Cyberpunk - Futuristic ... loose definition - Hard Sci-Fi ... rare - Paranormal ... can be applied to fantasy as well in some fringe cases. Historical ... too numerous to list and most are obvious, all are of historical tag type. Tie-In (not really a genre, but here we go) - Book - Movie - Cartoon ... cartoon movie or tv series - TV series - Anime - Manga ... also Manwha and other similar things. - European comic - Comic ... non-specific comic ... also the numerous culture titles, but they're products rather than product types. # MULTIPLAYER # - MMO - Multiplayer only - Multiplayer co-op I'll update this when more are found or created. Autoduel and Uncharted Waters are good reasons to have the cards tag. They are not at all of the casino/cards genre but include card games nonetheless.
I think saying Serious is a sub-genre of edutainment is a bit odd. Education is included in some of them. But persuading someone's opinion or personally changing them in some way is a bit beyond education. Actually, having edutainment as a sub-genre of serious makes more sense. But they accomplish this supposedly by providing new information or perspectives on the subject (which is a method of teaching, although not as... educational-like), and if not, it's propaganda as far as I can see which would never be suitable as parent of Edutainment. So, I will retain current order :) Edit: Or I'll move it under Non-Specific if you still insist the relation is really _that_ bad. So we'd move cards to mean games that contain card minigame/s rather than being just card-games? The group description should be modified to reflect this. by teran01 I'm searching for the best fitting tag name for stock broker / share trading / wall street / stock market games.
