I'd like to get Resident Evil to be synonym of BioHazard, but all the characters are in resident evil group so it would be simpler to do it the other way around.
It should be fairly trivial for Andrea to run some automated cleanup on the thing to accomplish this, but if others prefer that the Resident Evil name is retained as the main group title then the change is rather simple as we only(?) need to add the synonym.
So the question is, which one should be the main one? If the latest game in the series is any indication, the Resident Evil name has been dropped in the English releases (in some places), so BioHazard gains points from there as well for being the better choice.
BioHazard is the original Japanese name too, but Resident Evil is broadly known ...
I'll make the batch update when we get a point here.

Perhaps the idea of polls, brought up by Zerothis in another thread, would be ideal for these kinds of issues? Will submit a feature request for that a bit later.
There's also Dragon Warrior -> Dragon Quest that needs to be merged. The latter has most games in it and characters too, so it should be preserved in this case.
I'm pretty sure we can go with the Japanese names with Resident Evil as well it's the original. The synonym for resident evil in the group should make it clear for those not familiar with the series' origins or original name (and if they bother to read the tooltip for the group).
Edit: And since people don't seem to have an opinion of the Resident Evil/Biohazard name, might as well go what you feel best, Andrea.
My opinion?
BioHazard/Resident Evil -> Don't care very much if BioHazard or Resident Evil is main name. Do as you wish ^^
Dragon Warrior / Dragon Quest -> Use Dragon Quest as main name (DW seems to be discontinued anyway... the new titles are worldwide under the name DQ")
And another 2 months goes by with little feedback (or action) :)
