this would aid in preventing duplicates and in adding new tags to old game entries
Do you mean the tags list pages or the tags listed in each game info page?
re: list tags by modified date?this would aid in preventing duplicates and in adding new tags to old game entries
As happened to the tag "ninjas" today. There already exists a tag "ninja"... there was no need to make a new tag/group ;-)
I don't see how this would prevent duplicates, and the ninja bit could've easily been avoided with simple search. Also, the singular is wrong, considering tags describing creatures/people encountered in games should be plural.

Zerothis# 5 days and 4 hours ago (updated 5 days and 4 hours ago)i did do a simple search, no ninja, no ninjas.
Anyway, I'll correct this now
EDIT: I still can't find the other ninja tag, what is the url?
I meant a master list of all tags by modified date. In this way, editors could keep up with newly created groups. could apply the tags to existing games. Right now there are new tags that are not always announced and editors will not realize these new tag unless they stumble across them in game entries or accidentally add it again. Searches do not guarantee finding tags it would seem. This is a problem with the ninja tag right now. I searched ninja, ninjas, ninjutsu, ninjitsu, and found nothing. so i added "ninjas" in error, as it is apparently a duplicate. Although i still cannot find the previous ninja tag. We need a systematic way to look through all the tags so that new ones cannot create or old ones modified invisibly. The alternitive is freestyle announcing every tag creation and every tag change in the forums which is not well suited for a systematic list.
We have a very useful sort games by modified date. We have a edit log on each member's page which is also useful. I think a tag list sorted by modified date would be useful too.
Perhaps it can be simply achieved with a 'master edit log' that is filtered to only show tag events.
The other ninja tag has no group so far. Thus its not been found by search but only when you go into the browse all tags list.
Strange enough... I wasn't really aware that simple search also searches for group names. I always looked up possible tags/groups in the big tag list.
Right, forgot the global search didn't find tags without group set up. Anyway, the group is now ninja and ninjas redirects to it, also changed the single instance of ninjas to match the 15 other ninja :)
I meant a master list of all tags by modified date.
These do that, although they don't list [i]all[/i] tags :\

www.uvlist.net/users/whatsup/group[/url]Note that you can just see only the added ones:

You can see all the tags using
this page and the others.
The "groups results" in the global search result looks in the group name and the related tag:

But not on the unused tags btw...
