Train Simulators

I think that games like A-Train or Railroad Tycoon are not "train simulators". In a train simulator you are actively driving/steering/riding a train, while the others are strategy/economical games.

Train simulators are actually split into train operation and railway company management (simulation) games. Both are train simulators, though. Meaning it covers more of the whole which trains are part of than just the trains themselves.

Other sources dedicated to train sims pile both of the game types under train simulators as well.

I don't know.

Edit: It might be useful for some games, but I don't know if there are non-train simulator train games, like [[game:Thomas the Tank Engine]] is one I have no idea of.
