This is the game that started it all. This game spawned the 3rd biggest RPG series in Japan, behind only Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. Basically, the story goes that a computer programmer named Nakajima managed to create a 'Devil Summoning Program' and accidentally calls demon lords like Lucifer, Set, and Loki into the world. Now, armed with the Demon Summoning Program, Nakajima journeys to Daedalus to basically excorsize Lucifer and the others. The Devil Summoning Program is more useful than you might imagine, though -- Nakajima can contact demons during combat and store them in his PC (a 'COMP') and can later summon them and have them fight for him.
