True sequel (in the sense that it follows-up to the storyline of its predecessor), with better graphics and improved gameplay.
The army battles are now more advanced and act like mini-strategy/RPG battles where you move around your units on a map. The one-on-one duels are improved as well. The music isn't as good as in Genso Suikoden, but still very strong. The game still suffers from the prequel's lack of challenge, but it's much, much longer, and the artwork and character design is almost unparalleled. Also has different endings, and you can use your Genso Suikoden saved game (if you had all 108 stars) and use it for extra bonus material.  # 2006-04-27 07:43:59 - edit article | |||
