Tomb Raider set a new standard for action/adventure games, featuring realistic 3-D creatures and huge expansive levels. This game is for the Indiana Jones in all of us. Laura Croft is a beautiful heroine, and she's extremely well animated.
The third-person view provides some dramatic camera angles. The control scheme is innovative, allowing you to leap deep chasms and hang onto ledges. The excellent graphics effectively convey a dangerous and mysterious atmosphere. Tomb Raider is a genuinely exciting game. The stages are well-designed, full of puzzles, monsters, and traps. My encounter with the T-Rex is a video game moment I'll never forget. The game is long, but it's so good you may want to play through it again.
