Hudson didn't do themselves a favor when releasing Battle Ace as launch title for the SuperGrafx console. The game is a shooter in "[[gameid:16657 After Burner]]" and "[[gameid:192 Space Harrier]]" tradition, but doesn't reach the quality of said games. Maybe a game with pseudo-3D was chosen to show some of the new consoles graphical capabilities. Problem here is that the graphics are not good looking at all. The action itself is a mixture of constantly pressing the fire button in the hopes to bring an enemy down by pure luck, whilst trying to wildly outmaneuver incoming missiles.
