They came up with @!#?@! for the new name. After a few @!#?@! units were produced (and a few kids ask their moms for quarters to play the @!#?@! game) it was decide to change the name again to Cubert, then again to Q*Bert.
When Q*Bert (or Coily, the main enemy) falls off the cubes a solenoid is activated which hits the side of the Q*Bert cabinet, making a "bonk!" sound. This is supposed to sound like Q*Bert fell off the cube and hit the bottom of the cabinet. Some extremely rare units internally drop a sand bag instead.  Zerothis - 2003-10-07 19:27:15 | |||
