Pinball Dreams set a new benchmark for pinball games when it was released.

It was the first game to feature a full scrolling playfield so as to give the illusion of a full-size table.

When combined with superb (for the time) ball physics and great sound it caused quite a stir.

The best table was nightmare, with it's creaky doors and cackling laughter.
