The third in Square's popular RPG series, and the last on the Famicom. This game was also released April 27, 1990 only in Japan (the Japanese FF6 was released in the U.S. as Final Fantasy III). FF3 features an interesting class changing system that was brought back later in more refined forms in Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy Tactics. A translation to english patch for the ROM is available.

Oddly, the only one of the Final Fantasy series for the NES/SNES which was not re-released for the PS or GBA in America. Unofficial English translation available:
