Orginally published by APX in September 1981. RX8039 12k cart was published by Atari in 1982. A 3rd package, The Eastern Front Source Code Kit, was published by APX.
Crawford began developing games because he was unhappy with the state of the industry. In an effort to improve the industry, he published a special package of Eastern Front that included the source code (which he owned, not atari or APX) for $150.
