Myst: Masterpiece Edition was an updated version from the original mac source material. Several erros (such as soft sounds on Mac blasting loudly on PC) that were corrected in the original port from Mac to Windows were subsequently not corrected for this updated version. Images were rendered in 24-bit color instead of 8-bit. Additional images were added, Music and sound effects were enhanced (dispite errors for soft sounds), The Pool Imager theme was shortened. In-game maps and hints were added. The Myst DVD 10th Anniversary Edition bundle contained the Masterpiece Edition with recorrected the soft sounds.
