DTF-RL, 19, レインボーアイランド, JAN: 4988611880067 published 1988-07-26 by Taito in Japan
NES-RL-USA published 1991-06 by Taito in the USA
Note there are two different versions of Rainbow islands for NES/Famicom. Both developed by Taito. Both definitely based on the Arcade game. Both different. Both of them have their own entries here at UVL. This is the only version available for Famicom. This version is the similar to the Sega Master System port. Over all, this NES version and the SMS version represent a unique take on the arcade game. Story is omitted, some levels are missing, levels are done in a different order. However, A lot is added. Alternate levels, additional goals and perks, and the original Bubble Bobble is included as perk bonus levels.
The other NES version.
