Raziel travels across several eras of Nosgoth in an attempt to solve a complex plot involving himself, the Soul Reaver, Kain and the time streamer Moebius.
The game somewhat recycles, but improves, its predecessor's 3D engine. The gameplay is similar, but the controls and the fighting are improved and Raziel can use several different weapons.
