Only version of Final Fantasy 4 officially released in the United States. This was actually a translation of the 'toned down' version made for kids in Japan. This was to make the game easer for children. It lacked most of the features in the original version- including many weapons, items, and a special item, the 'Porno Mag,' which couldn't actually be viewed.

Not much really stands out in my mind about this game, it's average compared to others. The down side of this game, to me as a gamer, was not only the fact they tried to conceal the absence of the other two NES games by changing the number, but that we received the 'easytype' of the game. Many still consider this game a classic, arguably the best of the series. I've not personally finished the hard type yet, but Final Fantasy V was much nicer, in my opinion.
FFIV is still one of the best rpgs for the snes. It's plot is one of the most well thought up of any rpg.
