Independent aiming
Games where aiming is independent of moving or viewing. Usually free movement of crosshair across screen in first person games instead of being locked to the center and being able to move into one direction and shooting in the opposite in other games.
MechWarriors, many tanks games, Abuse, CyClones, etc. are all good examples of this.
