If this is occurs only due to external powers, like magic cast by some wizard or the gods extending their powers onto some character, use some other tag (unless it is a permanent state change and the character functions as if it was a therianthrope from there on out by its own).

If the protagonist is one of these, also use therianthrope protagonist.

This is specifically limited to animals, so no transforming to dragons or half-dragons or similar.
