Total destructibility
Games where there is no such thing as indestructible object, place or thing. Leveling the playfield into something completely unrecognizable from its original state is what happens here.
For less than total destructibility, use destructible environment instead.

This tends to have some limitations, such as an absolute minimum and maximum height in maps. Terrain may also only shift position (creating craters instead of holes) instead of disappearing completely, and the objects buildings are made of may be indestructible but can be separated from the buildings themselves.
