I assume the "Remake" bit is on the game box, since it doesn't seem to be in the game itself?
I'm not sure. I own this game, but only via the Quest for Glory Collection (includes QfG 1-4 and the Remake of QfG 1). I don't think the word Remake appears in the official title. It was listed in game mags as "QfG 1 - Remake" and the installation menu of the collection cd also said "remake" or "vga remake", don't remember exactly. I don't see any harm in it (well it was actually me who entered the games many years ago *ahem*), but if you want to remove it because it is not a "valid" name then do it. King's Quest 1 and Space Quest 1 have similar remakes btw.
Well, I removed it, and tagged with remake in case this didn't have the remake relation to the original (wonder when the relations will get back?). Not sure when I'll get to checking out the other games, but I doubt it's anytime soon, so might as well someone else verify them in their case.
