Hemming AG was founded in Landau, Germany, in 1989 by Olaf Hemming. The company published low- and mid-price games and reissued older titles. Hemming were the first German publisher to use standard "Amaray" DVD cases for the packaging of computer games. In 2001, Hemming entered into a relationship with Ubisoft, in order to distribute localised versions of Ubisoft's budget games in Germany.
The company filed for bankruptcy on November 28, 2002, and went into administration on February 1, 2003. Support and distribution services were being shut down, and all company assets liquidated.
