Atari owns the "Humongous" company name which was formerly owned by "Humongous Entertainment". "Humongous, Inc." is also a subsidiary of Atari. "Humongous, Inc." has employees and is not merely just a brand name. Humongous routinely (exclusively?) subcontracts to outside developers to produce games that Atari publishes. They also license Humongous Entertainment games, which they own the rights to, to other developers besides Atari.
Marking Humongous as developer or publisher is erroneous, as Atari or another company handles publishing and development is handled by external companies hired by Humongous. It's still much more useful to mark Humongous as developer than the older Humongous Entertainment.
