There are slowly cropping up games where you have to beat a game multiple times to actually Really beat it, and this is not just beating multiple separate campaigns or such that are selectable at the start.
Examples:
* Stories: Path of Destinies
* Ouroboros
These are not endless games.
Multiple completions required to actually complete a game
Doki Doki Literature Club! is yet another. Tho it forces an early ending that you must accept and start over with the game being different on the next run (likely ~3 times judging by things, but I haven't confirmed that yet).
Edit: Forgot to mention in the original article that Nier:Automata was also a game that requires multiple playthroughs.
