Review: Netflix' High Score

If someone is completely new to gaming history and would like to know more, this good natured mockumentary points out several names and events to investigate further. There is also some interesting personal expression from industry people including some from lesser explored aspects of the industry such as stories shared by Jerry Lawson's family, Shaun Bloom, John Kirby, Gail Tilden.

Taken alone, this series can give the wrong impression about a great many things and people. For example, Rebecca Heineman is included as the winner of the first Space Invaders national championship. Uh, excuse me! Burger Becky did, and continues to do, much more for gaming than win a contest!

I'm confident in saying this series is not about gaming history. It is also not about people who influenced gaming history. Rather, it is about people who were influenced by gaming.
