About Nettou Garou Densetsu 2: Arata-Naru Tatakai

The literal title is something like 'Fierce Fighting Legend of the Hungry Wolves 2: The New Battle'.

The "fierce fighting" part doesn't exist in the name. Literally it's more like "hungry wolf legend 2: the new battle" which can be turned into legend of the hungry wolf. Although I couldn't figure out the subtitle properly, your suggestion seemed <i>good enough</i> (I would've guessed something in the direction of: <i>coming of a new battle</i>, but the English speaking audience likely would've thought it to be strange sounding). I have no idea how plurals work in Japanese so it could be wolv<i>es</i> and legend<i>s</i> and battle<i>s</i>, but I couldn't see anything that could've identified any as plural, so I assume they aren't. Even the legend part could be just story, tale, or something like that. Legend is just more grandiose which the English speaking audience likely likes better :P
