Sango Fighter featured characters from ancient Chinese history. There were 14 selectable characters, making it a big game for the time it was released. It was first available only in China, until a botched attempt by Apogee in USA to release it as "Violent Vengeance" made its creators go with the name "Sango Fighter" both here as well as in China.
