An obscure but still spread internet joke is to call this game "Megan Man" because of a typo in the the official 1990 WORLD OF Nintendo buyers guide showing "Megan Man 3" and its similarities in game play to the megaman series.
Catalog number for the Japanese Famicom version is definitely VIC-VF (visually confirmed, it is printed on the cartridge lable) and not VIC-VP. But many sites on the web report it as VIC-VP
