Scholar of the First Sin edition brings few mostly irrelevant changes to the base gameplay while bundling the 3 Crowns DLCs. Also exclusively 64 bit and DX11 unlike the original which was exclusively 32 bit and DX9.
Changes:
* 6 maximum players per session (2 allied summons and 3 invaders) instead of 4, and an additional item to control soul memory.
* Some enemy placements have been changed.
* Includes the Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, and Crown of the Ivory King DLCs.
Multiplayer and saves for the new edition are also incompatible with the original.
