Chikuden-ya Toubei

A typical Japanese adventure game. Quite simple to play and you can get far with pure trial and error methods. Of course the question is how much it makes sense and how fun it is when the game obviously draws its potential from the story and you can't understand even half of it. Graphically it is only average. Sometimes the background graphics lack a good color choice, reminding me a bit of early Japanese 8-bit homecomputer graphics. Music is also not the best. People who understand Japanese and like the Edo-era scenario and a pretty creepy plot can't go wrong with this though.
