Editor notes (2)
Actually Atari Corp. did publish this game in 1988, four years after its finishing and planed release in 1984. Before the 1988 release, some minor improvements (sloppy hacks) by someone increased the memory requirements above 16k. The hacks did make the game even more like the arcade version but they hardly seems worth 48k. This made it unplayable on Atari 400 and 800 machines (without soldering). It was only playable on machines with 64k, such as the 600XL and XEGS. The XE branded version of the game hacked by the same unknown programmer was published at the same time. To play this game on a 16k machine you'll need the Video 61 version.
