Personal review

First "Daisenryaku" game that appeared on a 16-bit console. Graphically its still looking like an 8-bit version though. The Daisenryaku turn-based game system is a rather complex one and originated on Japanese homecomputer systems, so I would say its more for the hardcore strategy gamers and doesn't has this light-hearted and easy to play feel like let's say Nectaris for the PC-Engine. There is no story in this game. You can choose of a variety of maps and up to four players. Interestingly some of the maps are reminiscent of other video games. There is a map that looks like the overworld of Phantasy Star 2 for example. If you like turn-based strategy games with hex fields and accept the somewhat slow scrolling and overall slow gameplay, then you can't go wrong with this game.
