Croc: Legend of the Gobbos

One day, a basket washed onto the shore of the gobbo village, and inside it was a baby crocodile. The gobbos took in the baby, raised him, and named him Croc. Suddenly, the evil Baron Dante and his followers, the Dantinis, kidnapped the gobbos. Take control of Croc as he travels through 45 levels of running and jumping action trying to rescue the gobbos. Luckily, Croc knows some special moves, like the butt stomp and spin, which will help him dispose of the bad guys. Will Croc be able to save all of friends? This game began life as as 3D platformer for the N64 starring Yoshi. Nintendo rejected the developer's proposal and the game was eventually retooled to what we see now. However, the proposal spurred the idea of a 3D platformer starring Mario and Luigi for the N64. That game would eventually be published albeit without Luigi.
