Darius Alpha was offered to those who had bought both the PC Engine and CD-ROM² versions of Darius Plus/Super Darius. It is essentially just a run of bosses found in that game, as opposed to a fully fledged Darius release. Only around 800 copies were ever produced. Besides Darius Plus, this is the only PC-Engine game that would make use of the better SuperGrafx hardware, if you had it run on a Supergrafx.
