Personal review

You are playing a fireworks-maker on his way from the city of Kyouto to the city of Edo (Tokyo) via the Toukaidou route. This route is a famous historical route which consists of 53 stations. Each of the games levels represents one station of the route. Since the game only has 21 levels not all stations are included. And of course the route is dangerous, because you are followed and attacked by henchmen of an evil merchant who wants to steal the secret of fireworks manufacturing from you. The game itself is a standard platform game. You make your way from left to right, avoid enemies or kill them via throwing explosives. On the way you can collect hidden items which help passing some otherwise especially nasty enemies. Also you have to find gold coins, which at some points in the game make a platform appear without which you can't progress further. Graphics and music are not more than average and the jump controls feel strange and slow.
