Editor note
First included with the Windows operating system version 3.1 and every version since then. The Beginner level is a 8x8 sized playfield. The version released for Windows 2000 and all subsequent versions use a 9x9 board for the beginner level. On any level of the game, the first square clicked is never a mine.
