Personal review
The 2th expansion for Dawn of War, it fixes and improves the base game.
Pros:
-Fixed graphics and interface.
-Two new factions: Necrons and their powerful bases and teleport/resurrection powers, and the Tau Empire and their ranged supremacy.
-A tabletop-like campaign of skirmishes, less plot oriented but who lets the player to choose its favorite army to conquer the planet.
Cons:
-Camera is clunkier.
-Sometimes graphics downgrade to the point of making units and landscape blurry.

Official description
Deep under the central desert of Kronus, a vast honeycomb of skull-lined tunnels and funereal chambers house the awakening mass of the Necron plague. Eons ago, these were the boulevards and squares of a great necropolis built to house the bones of the races who had fallen to the Necron purge, and ultimately for the Necron themselves to retire to. Over the millions of years, sand and rock had covered it all until ill-fated excavations awoke the deathless again. Play any of seven races, striving for control over Kronus. Take other races' strongholds by winning challenging battles on various maps individually associated with the respective Strongholds.
* New playable races, each with individual features
* Brand new Single Player Campaign experience, playable by all seven races
* Non-linear game-play: conquer an entire planet in the way you choose
* Watch a unique, non-linear story unfold from your race's perspective
* Customise and manage a persistent army as you sweep across the planet
* Customise the appearance and abilities of your commander unit as he grows in power and influence
* Discover the dark secrets of a planet shrouded in mystery.

Description
Stand-alone expansion to Dawn of War and Winter Assault, but having DoW or WA unlocks the races that were introduced in them, otherwise the player is limited to play only as Necron and Tau which are the new races in this expansion. The computer plays with all the rest regardless of this unlocking.
The expansion took a different approach and instead of giving new campaigns to complete, the player was given a Risk-style overworld which to conquer as the player sees fit and unique albeit short storyline for each of the races.

Factions:
- Necrons
- Tau
- Imperial Guard¹
- Eldar²
- Space Marines²
- Chaos Space Marines²
- Orks²
¹) Requires Winter Assault's CD-key and the expansion to be installed, the CD-Key alone does nothing, not even with registry editing to make it seem it was installed.
²) Requires Dawn of War's CD-key and similar limiations as ¹.
Though only to be playable by human player, they appear as computer controlled factions anyway.
