Description

This is an RTS (Real Time Strategy) game designed to reduce micromanagement. The player does not pick out individual citizens to command. But rather, the player specifies how many citizens a task will take and the citizens do their best to fill that number. The player can assign more or less people depending on how fast he wants the task done and what tasks are a high priority.
The citizens in the game are globs. There are worker globs that are the main population. There's also specialized winged explorer blobs that can fly anywhere to take a peek and also drop bombs if their level is sufficient. Finally there are specialized buffed out warrior blobs that can defend and attack other blobs or buildings. Different blobs have different nutritional requirements that can be filled by different foods, some of which are rare in most scenarios, but all blobs need wheat, which is usually common. Buildings need different materials that the workers will need to fetch. There are buildings to teach, general knowledge, swimming, military, and speed. Feeding stations to store and distribute food. Hospitals to heal the sick and wounded. Trade centers to better distributed rare foods. Towers and walls to militantly defend areas. Finally, players can create zones and points of interest to direct workers away from or too an area to explore, attack, defend, or clear vegetation. The computer fills the opponents rolls if human players are not available via LAN, Ysagoon Online Gaming (Internet), or even on a single computer using a little Linux magic. For single computer multiplayer, each player will need their own distinct mouse and keyboard properly configured. Multiple monitors and multiple X servers are recommended. Here's another suggestion. Yet another way with or without multiple monitors (Ubuntu specific)
