Description

A framework for creating clones of the real world boardgame, Monopoly. Atlantic is one such boardgame that is included in this application of similar name. monopd is the standalone server portion where the created games can be hosted. monopd in not required for multi players; in fact, a network and/or internet connection are also optional but recommended. Multiple clients can be run on a single system in multiple windows and, if available, on multiple monitors. Any combination of local, network and internet multiplayer is possible. A variety of games including Cheese, Lord of the Rings, and Linux themed varieties have been made and are hosted on several monopd servers. The Monopoly like, Atlantic, is installed by default.
