Official description

For many years, this part of the world had enjoyed peace and tranquility.
A succession of kings had ruled wisely, and wizards and magic had preserved the kingdom from invasion.
Recently, however, the kings had grown weak, and the wizards more ambitious to take their place.
A dark cloud gathered over the land, as the wizards grew ever more powerful and arrogant.
Divisions arose amongst them, and at last their differences lead to open war.
In Battle of the Mages, you take the part of one of these wizards, in a struggle for overall supremacy.
