Personal review
"Marchen Veil" is an Action-Adventure game ported over from Japanese homecomputers to the Famicom Disk System. Between the normal Zelda-style levels, the game has "visual stages" which are rather lengthy text scenes with little animations telling the story. The levels are not easily finished by just running through them. Sometimes you have to collect certain items, kill all monsters of a specific type and so on. The hero moves rather slowly, the whole control scheme is unprecise and the color choice in some of the levels is questionable. Not a disastrous game for a game released in 1987, but not very enjoyable today.
