Personal review

"Famicom Golf: US Course" is the follow-up game of Famicom Golf: Japan Course. At first I thought this would be just another course with identical gameplay, but US Course changed the main perspective from top-down view to third-person view. That makes for better graphics but also harder playability, because the way the graphics are you don't have much clue how to hit the ball and where it will land. The initial direction of the shot is still planned in a short top-down view scene. And still Nintendo's golf games feature only 18 holes, which isn't terribly much. All in all this game looks better than earlier golf games but plays more complicated. Best example is the fact that it took me a couple of minutes until I found out how to do a simple thing like switching clubs.
