When A Man Awoke From A Long, Long Sleep, What Was Waiting For Him? Hope Or Despair?While digging through the ancient ruins, archeologists found a sleeping man inside an egg-shaped machine. Though the scientists couldn't wake up the Sleeper, they were able to reproduce his machine which people started calling Elemental Gimmick Gear, or EGG. A wide variety of EGGs have been manufactured for civilian and military use.
One hundred years after discovery of the Sleeper, something goes terribly wrong, destroying the city and the people. The Sleeper awakes and leaves the laboratory. As the Sleeper, you try to save the city of Fogna and learn what went wrong.

The Egg: Elemental Gimmick Gear features old school 2-D environments and fantastic 3-D battles. The story line of the game begins on a planet call Fogna, which just went through some rough times. You crash land on the planet, and after the crash landing, you fall into a deep mysterious sleep.

You awaken after the Fogna have become extremely advanced, and in this all new and strange world of Fogna, you need to gather information, fight your way through evil elemental gimmick gears, plants, and other bad creatures with help from "good" Elemental Gimmick Gears!
