Personal review

In my opinion "Monty on the Run" was the best game in the Monty Mole series of 8-bit homecomputer games. Jaleco licensed the game and ported it to the Famicom Disk System. However "ported" is not quite correct. They changed virtually everything. The character is no longer a mole, but an ordinary man/prisoner. The level layout is completely different. It looks and sounds different. At the beginning of each level you can choose a weapon and extra item. Some items are more useful in certain levels than others. Your task is to find picture pieces in each level and beat a boss. After the fourth level I appeared before court and had to puzzle a complete picture from the collected pieces and it seemed I hadn't had all of them. A decent game, however the question remains why they didn't just give the game a different name because it is so much not like the original.
