4961012901012 Final Fantasy III published in Japan.
The third in Square's popular RPG series, and the last on the Famicom. This game was also released April 27, 1990 only in Japan (the Japanese FF6 was released in the U.S. as Final Fantasy III). FF3 features an interesting class changing system that was brought back later in more refined forms in Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy Tactics. A translation to English patch for the ROM is available.
The former Nintendo employee who prefers to be known as 'Mega' reports that an prototype English/NTSC version of this game was created but stolen from an employee who was allowed to take it home. This ended the practice of Nintendo allowing employees to take home prototypes.
