Description

CX-5209. Rarity 2 Common+. North America NTSC. 1 player vs thje computer or 2 players vs. A wide range of baseball uniquities are simulated in this game. Including throwing errors, base stealing, no wind-up pitches, squeeze plays, tagging up, and hit and runs. The scoreboard is also fully simulated. Even between innings the simulation continues as one team leaves the field and the other enters and takes positions. The game also features voices, most notable is the umpire who calls out errors.

Control:
The keypad allows you to select 9 different styles of pitches to start with. Pitches are further distinguished by the exact way they are 'thrown' using the analog control stick. The pitcher may choose to wind up or otherwise hint which picth they are about to thrown, or not, or they can fake one and throw another. Similarly, hitting the ball is done with the analog stick so the player can truly aim by effecting 3 dimensional trajectory, speed and even spin to affect the direction after hitting the ground. Batters can too can do things like lean into a bunt position then swing a the last moment.
