Description

CX-5213. Rarity 2. Common+. North America NTSC. 1 player vs computer or 2 players vs.

Features:
The oddest thing, human controlled players will warp to the otherside of the screen when attempting to leave the visible area. Each player has 5 man teams (1 is a goalie). You can select which player to control using. The active player is light colored. You cannot control the goalie. Computer controlled players will always return to their assigned positions (if when you don't want them too). Select from a low, medium, high or ground kicks. To these to can append high arc or low arc to these. Most soccer rules are simulated including penalties, throw-ins, corner kicks, and goal kicks. The ball can go out-of-bounds. The field scrolls horazontally and appeas in pseudo 3D. The ball height is indicated by a shadow. There is no simulated scoreboard, just an ordinary score readout. There are no spectators.

Options:
You can set game length between 5 to 45 minutes. 45 minutes being the game time of a real soccer match. The computer opponent has 4 skill levels.

Controls:
The keypad selects a low, medium, high or ground kicks and also the active player. The top button is for kicks. Either button will steal the ball from an opponet.

Trivia:
Was published for a short time under the name "Soccer" before Atari invented the RealSports^TM marking gimmick.
