Developer here - it's been a huge pain in the butt to "pre-launch" this game! I get that from an outsider's perspective, yet another Early Access game coming out is like looking at another piece of trash falling out of the dumpster, but a nut-ton of effort was spent just getting this thing to run on Linux via Steam. To us, it feels like a launch, and it is a risky move to abandon Windows, not to mention possibly getting hit by Valve's wrath, since we had to pull some stunts within their system to get this Linux-only. However, hopefully at least one Windows user does a second-take when they see a game not immediately available for their platform. I wish I could be a fly-on-the-wall when that happens! ;)

The developers are violated Steam policy by releasing their game for Linux first and not supporting Windows yet. This was not an easy task as actually posting a game to the Steam store requires numerous Windows-only limits to be fulfilled, or hacked. Their success was not total, as they have yet to find a way to not display the Windows system requirements (which are false, until the Windows port is released). But they did impressively manage to remove the Windows icon from the Steam widget, search results, and all other places where the Windows icon is usually displayed.
