Official description
Evolva is a tactical shoot-em up which immerses the plater in a visually stunning 3D world and offers a rich and deep gameplaying experience.
Driven by Computer Artworks' A-Life technology, the player takes control of a team of customisable creatures called Genohunters. The Genohunter adapts itself by killing and then absorbing its enemies DNA, thereby allowing itself to mutate to incorporate any useful abilities it may have acquired.
Evolva mixes the excitement of a fast paced shoot-em-up with the tactical elements of a strategy game.
* Features fully interactive environments covering 12 lands across 3 continents and allows players to melt ice, torch plants, blow up rocks etc.
* Weapons include fire breath, giant claws, electricity weapons, gene disruptors, necrocytes, flammable vomit.
* Go head to head in multiplayer matches (LAN & Internet) to see who has evolved the most effective set of warriors.
* Players can exchange Genohuners over the Internet.

Evolva was among the first games that utilized the new T&L technology.

Suffers from severe flickering on GF8800GT and apparently did on cards used only 2-3 years after its release (I think it worked fine with GF2MX and R9500Pro), haven't found a fix for it and the issue is not visible in any screenshots I've taken (somehow the scene syncs perfectly for each screenshot). Twiddling with NV's control panel had no effect either nor the minimal options in the game itself. Therefore the cause of the issue is unknown. No other games I know suffer of similar problem to give any indication for possible solutions either. The glitch is similar to vsync tearing but instead of tearing, you have this horizontal band spanning the whole screen with no texturing for most objects, giving you a very distracting sort of x-ray vision.
