dismemberment - as the mechas fight each other, they may dislodge each others limbs which fall to the ground, these can be retrieved and re-installed back to your own mechs (your enemy may do this as well). this is also one method of gaining your enemy's technology.
gameplayinn - first (and only?) strategy game with dismemberment, and especially one where the removed parts actually still hold a use. Multi-layered (one underground, one ground level, and 1-2 air layers), and the pilots of the destroyed vehicles try to flee back to your base, and their survival is possibly of greater importance than that of the vehicles they pilot/drive. you also need to construct various mecha pieces individually and assemble each mecha equally individually at the mech bay.
